  2. A silly pun. From asana, the Sanskrit word for posture, and Laura, the name for Laura. Together, they form “Laura-Pose.”

Laura is an E-RYT500 with over 3,000 hours of teaching experience. She is a certified Curvy-Friendly teacher and a community partner with the Yoga and Body Image Coalition. She is dedicated to helping students practice yoga in a way that respects and embraces their unique bodies. Laura encourages individual exploration and inquiry to create your own optimal alignment in each asana. Expect to laugh, interact, and be motivated as you’re invited to meet your authentic self on the mat. You will be challenged physically and mentally through the practice of asana, pranayama, and meditation.

Each of Laura’s classes are unique, a reflection of the students attending, and evolve organically. Newer students are guided to connect to their own embodied experience. Once a foundation of integrity and safety is in place, classes may be fluid and organic, mindfully slow and deep, or energetically sweaty.

Laura is a dedicated yogini and meditator, committed to continuing education. She is influenced by a diverse variety of yoga styles, from Ashtanga to Kundalini. As a student of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, she brings the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism to the mat, creating a culture of acceptance, vibrant compassion, and increased self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-love.
